Joe Kulp, 86, of Allen, Texas, passed away on February 1, 2024. Joe was born in Brooklyn, New York on September 17, 1937, to Gisela and Frank Kulp.
He spent his earlier years in New Jersey married to Linda Kulp where they had 3 children. He was a tool and die maker for 24 years. That job led him to Texas in 1976 working for T.I. He retired in 1994 after 18 years.
After a divorce, Joe spent time at Lovers Lane Methodist Church. He enjoyed playing tennis and country dancing. He met Shirley Morgan and they were married in the small chapel in 1985.
Joe had many hobbies including restoring Mustangs, building model airplanes, scuba diving and studying about WWII and the Titanic. In his later years, he enjoyed playing cards at the Allen Sr. Center and going to casinos. He served his country proudly in the Army National Guard as a Tank Operator.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Shirl; brother Rob Kulp; daughters Lori Beth Kulp and Tracy Lynn Ticheli; son Gregory Brian Kulp (Melanie); granddaughters Val Kulp (Randy) and Katie Ticheli; grandsons Brian Kulp and Ryan Ticheli; two great-grandchildren of Val, Harrison and Hadley; stepchildren LeAnn Cislo (Geoff) and Randy Morgan (Kelly).
Joe will forever be in our hearts. We’ll miss him every day.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 23, 2024 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
