Joe Bryan McKee, Jr., of Frisco, Texas, peacefully passed away on October 22, 2023. He was born on July 22, 1952, to parents Joe Bryan McKee Sr. and Patricia (Welch) McKee in Waco, Texas.
Joe dedicated 30 years of his life as a talented land surveyor, primarily serving South Texas. His expertise and meticulous attention to detail earned him great respect among peers and colleagues in his field.
Beyond his professional achievements, Joe had a passion for music especially playing the guitar. He also enjoyed country line dancing. Joe had a fascination with collecting arrowheads, appreciating the history and craftsmanship behind each one. Joe was an outdoorsman to his heart. He would spend his free time on kayaking trips, bow hunting, and fishing.
Joe was a beloved son, father, grandfather, brother and friend and his presence in the lives of those who knew and loved him will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his daughters, Briana McKee and Tarah Recker and husband, Mathew; son, Patrick McKee and wife, Jennifer; grandchildren, Paxton Recker and Samantha McKee; parents, Patricia and S.T. “Buddy” Chapman; sister, Pam Blais and husband, Phil; and a host of other loving family and friends.
Joe was preceded in death by his brother, Jay Brent McKee.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 29 2023 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. .
