Joe Brice Crump of McKinney, Texas passed away on September 9, 2018 at the age of 47. He was born on January 31, 1971 to Joe Bryan Crump and Wanda Jo Lorance in McKinney, Texas. Close relatives and friends knew him as Little Joe, despite his imposing 6’2 figure. Little Joe went to McKinney High School and worked for Crump’s Garden for many years in the family business. Most recently he had been working for Soils Alive in Garland, Texas. He was known as a great agriculturalist and practiced his lifelong profession passionately.
Little Joe enjoyed fishing, reading Shakespeare, and the study of history. He was intelligent, wise and had an ability to see unique perspectives concerning hardships and experience. Little Joe had a warm and gentle soul despite trials faced in life, and the people who knew him well saw this clearly.
Little Joe Crump is survived by his children; Lindy Murphy of Leonard, Texas, Ashley Roland and husband, Trey of Midland, Texas, Stephanie Crump of Sherman, Texas, Chase Crump of McKinney, Texas and Weldon Crump of Allen, Texas; his three grandchildren; his sister, Susan Scafidi of McKinney, Texas; his nephews and niece, Cody, Justin and Christina Scafidi; and his close standing friends.
A celebration of life gathering will be held on September 22, 2018 at 1400 Greenbriar Dr., Allen, Texas 75013 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
