Joe John Avitia, Jr.

Joe John Avitia, Jr., age 68, of Frisco, Texas, passed away September 2, 2013, in Frisco. Joe was born July 16, 1945, in Mexico City, Mexico, to Jose Juan Avitia, Sr. and Esperanza Sanchez De Avitia. He married Rosa Maria Blanco Preciado on July 3, 1974, in Mexico. Joe was the owner of Joe John’s Tree Service.  Joe was a cowboy, an avid bull rider, and loving husband, father, and brother. He was a member of St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church in Plano, Texas. “I’m still hanging on!”

He is survived by his wife, Rosa Maria Avitia of Dallas, Texas; he was a dedicated father of four daughters, Karina Avitia of Kilgore, Texas, Lizzeth Ortiz and husband, Jesse of Frisco, Texas, Denisse Tenore and husband, Anthony of New Jersey, and Brenda Ippolito and husband, John of Dallas, Texas; nine grandchildren; brother, Francisco Avitia of Plano, Texas; and sisters, Alicia Avitia Harris and husband, William of Plano, Texas, Esperanza A. De Rodriguez and husband, Jose Luis of Mexico, and Tere Avitia Rasheta and husband, Larry of Utah.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Rodolfo Avitia.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Friday, September 6, 2013, at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church in Plano, Texas. He will be inurned at the columbarium at St. Mark’s.
