Jocelyne Elisabeth Alice Camille Heurtmatte Smith, of McKinney, Texas, passed away peacefully in her home and will be missed dearly. 
 
Jocelyne was born in Le Vaudreuil, France, to Albert and Louisette (née Mathière) Heurtmatte.  She was one of seven children, was predeceased by her brothers Marcel, Francis and Bernard and her sister Marie Thérèse.  Her sisters Rolande Marie and Maryvonne Heurtmatte survive her.
 
One of her proudest moments, Jocelyne became a naturalized citizen of the United States in June of 1963.  She retired after 20 years as a civilian federal employee with the United States Air Force, earning numerous awards and being lauded for her service.  She was an avid antique doll collector and gifted canvas oil painter.
 
Jocelyne is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) D Jack Smith.  She is also survived by her children, Barbra (Bob), John (Sharron), Carolene (Rick); her grandchildren Marshall (Chelsea), Jennie (Matthew), Alexander, Jonathan, Sara, Matthew, Greg, and Katie; and her great grandchildren Fiona and Presley Jocelyne Alice.

 

A “come and go” visitation will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North in Allen, Texas. Only a limited number of guests will be allowed to enter the funeral home facility at any one time to maintain social distancing.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 30, 2021 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
