Joann Lovingood of Plano, Texas passed away on April 3, 2020 at the age of 78. She was born November 20, 1941 to Edward and Ethel (Burrell) Swafford in Toccoa, Georgia. Joann went to Stephens County High School and graduated class of 1960. She married Grady Lovingood in November of 1960. Joann was a homemaker and she supported her family as they traveled around the country. They settled in Plano, Texas in 1975. Joann later went to work in the retail business. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Plano. Joann was an accomplished seamstress, quilter, doll collector, avid reader and she loved her dogs.
She is survived by her daughters, Patti Reinhard and husband, Bryan of Sherman, Texas, Michelle Mango of Plano, Texas; four grandsons, Bryan Reinhard, Matthew Reinhard, Chandler Janecek and Chase Janecek; sister, Jean Swafford of Atlanta, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.
Joann is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Grady; brother, Ret. Lt. Col. William Heaton; sisters, Willie Mae Mize, Evelyn Hill and Bonnie Durham.
A graveside service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 Ridgeview Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home on Tuesday, April 7, 2020 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. to pay their respects and to sign the register book.
