JoAnn (Pennington) Davis, age 84, of Frisco, Texas, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2020. She was born in McKinney, Texas, on March 1, 1935, to Viola (Dinsmore) and Joshua Pennington. She married the love of her life, Floyd Davis, on March 25, 1950, in Frisco. JoAnn utilized her many skills as a homemaker. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, and will be missed by all those who loved her.
JoAnn leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Michael F. Davis and his wife, Cynthia, of Higden, Arkansas; her daughter, Kathie Gruninger and her husband, Glenn, of Frisco, Texas; her grandchildren, Matthew (Priscilla) Davis, Stephanie (John) Perron, Jennifer (Brad) Miller, Brittany (Greg) Gary, Bethany (Wes) Tubbs, Shane (P.J.) Gruninger, and Chas Gruninger; fifteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Davis; her grandson, Austin Davis; five brothers; one sister; and her parents.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation at Berkshire Chapel, 9073 Berkshire Dr., Frisco, Texas, on Wednesday, February 5, 2020, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Rowlett Cemetery, Rowlett Cemetery Road, Plano, Texas, on Thursday, February 6, 2020, at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Phillip Summers.
