IN LOVING MEMORY

Joan Joseph

Jul 07 1929 - Apr 02 2025

Joan Joseph of McKinney, Texas passed away April 2, 2025 at the age of 95. She was born to Frederick William and Marian Lucille (Bailey) Bibber on July 7, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan.

Joan spent her childhood in Flint, Michigan, and later graduated from MacKenzie High School in Detroit. It was during these years that she met the love of her life, Robert Roy Joseph. They married in 1950, beginning a life together that was filled with love. The couple started their family in Detroit and later moved to Livonia, Michigan, where they raised their children.

In 2010, Joan moved to McKinney, Texas, to be closer to her family. She was a loyal wife and a devoted, loving mother. Though small in stature, she possessed a feisty personality, and a larger-than-life presence.

Joan enjoyed activities such as golf and playing cards, especially poker—with family and friends. She was also an avid traveler, exploring the world with trips to Ireland, Germany, Italy, Scotland, and various ports on numerous cruises.

Above all, Joan remained deeply committed to her Christian faith. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and strength, and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Joan is survived by her son, Donald L. Joseph and wife, Emma of Shanghai, China; daughter, Barbara A. Nameth and husband, Alex of McKinney, Texas; son, Ronald R. Joseph and wife, Amy of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; grandchildren, Sara, Jordan, Robbie, Alexandra, Christopher, Allie, Paige, John, and Clay; six great grandchildren, and numerous other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Roy Joseph, son, Robbie Joseph, and her parents.

At this time there is no service scheduled in Texas.
