Joan G. & Charles F. Judd

Joan Gori Judd, age 84, and Charles “Chuck” Fowler Judd, age 92, both of Lewisville, Texas, passed away in Plano, Texas.  Joan passed away on January 6 and Chuck passed away on January 8, 2021.  They were married in Miami, Florida, on November 3, 1960, enjoying sixty wonderful years of marriage and were blessed with a son and a daughter. Joan and Chuck were dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all those who knew them.

Joan was born on August 12, 1936, in Hartford, Connecticut, to Mary (Angeloni) and John Gori.  She obtained her associate’s degree and worked as a registered nurse.

Chuck was born on December 3, 1928, in Detroit, Michigan, to Ada Lee (McDonald) and Fowler Lee Judd.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army.  Chuck obtained his bachelor’s degree and worked as an electrical engineer in the aviation industry.

Joan and Chuck are survived by their daughter, Linda Hawkins and her husband, Currie, of The Colony, Texas; their grandchildren, Ashley Johnson of Little Elm, Texas, and Brittany Upchurch of Lewisville, Texas; their great-grandsons, Riley, Brandon and Brady Johnson; their nieces, Renae Burgett, April (John) Hurd, Sherrie (Ron) Wincek and Barbara Davis; grand-nieces, Makayla Hurd, Erica Burgett; grand-nephews, Brandon Hurd,  Aaron Hurd and Cory Burgett; and brother-in-law, Rhea Dyer.

They are preceded in death by their grandson, Charley Upchurch; son, Larry Judd; Joan’s sister, Nancy Mason; Chuck’s sister, Mary Elizabeth Dyer; and Joan and Chuck’s parents.

A memorial service will be held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 8520 Main Street, Frisco, Texas, on Friday, January 29, 2021, at 2:00 p.m.

What a lovely, Godly couple~enjoying Glory together! Deb Boone , January 15, 2021 Joan & Chuck will be missed by so many whose lives they have touched. They were an inspiration of unconditional LOVE. It's no wonder GOD called them home together because where you saw one of them you saw both of them. We will treasure our memories of our friendship at First Baptist Waynesville and beyond.
