Jo Ann Williams Cartmill, age 75, of Brookston, Texas, passed away on April 28, 2017 in McKinney, Texas. She was born on June 11, 1941 in Lee County, Virginia to Carl Elmer and Iva Moore Williams. She married Gerald Cartmill on June 8, 1979 in Ardmore, Oklahoma.
Jo Ann worked for the Postal Service for 25 years in the cities of Farmersville, Princeton and Paris, Texas. She was of the Methodist Faith.
Jo Ann is survived by; husband, Gerald Cartmill of Brookston, Texas; son, Bailey Mercer and wife Judy of Desert, Texas; daughter, Delinda Williams of Farmersville, Texas; son, Garrett Cartmill of Farmersville, Texas; grandchildren, Ashle Mercer, Hailey Mercer, Bailey Kyle Mercer, Cade Williams and Morgan Cartmill; sister, Wanda Pratt of Jonesboro, Indiana and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
She was preceded in death by; her parents, daughter, Nikki Burns; brother, Richard Williams and sister Sandy Maples.
Visitation will be on Friday, May 5, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hurst’s Fielder Baker Funeral Home, 107 N. Washington Street, Farmersville, Texas.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Princeton, Texas.
