Jimmy Howell Rutledge

Jimmy Howell Rutledge of Blue Ridge, Texas passed away February 13, 2022 at the age of 58. He was born February 10, 1964. His parents were Earl Wayne and Betty J. (Baker) Rutledge in McKinney, Texas. Jim graduated class of 1982 from Blue Ridge High School. Shortly after high school, Jim went to work for the North Texas Municipal Water District where he worked his way into a leadership position. He married Tracy Dale Stailey on July 26, 1987 in McKinney, Texas. Jim enjoyed golfing, hunting and riding motorcycles. Most importantly, he loved supporting his grandchildren in all of their activities. Jim retired at an early age due to health reasons. He fought long and hard during his illness with Alzheimer's and continued to do so until the very end. Jim was a long-time member of First Baptist Melissa.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Tracy Rutledge of Blue Ridge, Texas; son, Josh Branch and wife, Kristin of Blue Ridge, Texas; daughter, Miranda Maher and husband, Joe of Blue Ridge, Texas; son, James Rutledge of Blue Ridge, Texas; grandchildren, Skylar Branch, Gage Branch, Grey Rutledge, Adaleigh Rutledge and Lylah Maher; mother, Betty J. Rutledge; brother, Richard Scalf and wife Carol; sister, Suzanne Alexander and husband, Rick; sister, Nikki Sheely and husband, Bob; sister, Jenni Lindsey and husband, Rick; brother, Jason Rutledge and wife, Karen; in-laws, Don and Carol Stailey of Blue Ridge, Texas; and a host of other loving family and friends.

He was preceded by his dad, Earl Wayne Rutledge; mom, Brenda K. Lincoln; grandparents, Doris and Howell Scalf.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. After the service, the recorded live stream will be available for viewing at the same link location. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas.

The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday evening from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association to support awareness.
