Jimmy Pickrell, age 49, of Princeton, Texas, passed away January 14, 2012, in McKinney, Texas. Jimmy was born June 21, 1962, in Dallas, Texas, to Leroy and Margaret (Curry) Pickrell. He married Ann Reeves on March 25, 1983, in McKinney. Jimmy worked in the garage door business in Princeton for eighteen years. He later became a detention officer for Collin County for ten years and recently was a driver for Nitrogen Solutions. He is survived by his wife, Ann Pickrell of Princeton, Texas; daughter, Amy Dockery and husband, Douglas, also of Princeton, Texas; grandchildren, Rayden and Keylee; brother, Dean Pickrell and wife, Bobbi of Allen, Texas; sister, Shelley Pickrell of Sherman, Texas; sister-in-law, Patti Ferguson and husband, Kirk of Red Rock, Texas; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Kenneth Pickrell. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 18, 2012, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas with Dr. Danny Buster officiating. Interment will follow at Scott Cemetery in McKinney, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
