Jimmy Lynn Gray passed away March 22, 2016 at his home in Trenton, Texas at the age of 76. He was born April 30, 1939 in McKinney, Texas to William “Billy” Gray and Lona Mae Cantrell Gray. He attended school in McKinney. He married Anita Rebecca Littrell on January 10, 1963. They resided in McKinney and the Chambersville community until moving to Trenton in 2008. Jimmy worked at RC Bottling in McKinney early on in his career and later became employed with the Dallas Independent School District where he worked 40+ years, retiring in 2003. He was a member of Chambersville United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anita: son, Brent; brother, Cletus; and his parents.
He is survived by his daughter, Tammy Bledsoe; son, Trent Gray; three grandsons, Ryan, Ross and Reece Bledsoe all of Trenton; granddaughter, Jennie Kiser of Colorado; three great grandchildren, Daniel Soderlund, Phoenix Kiser and Annielynn Kiser; two sisters, Anita Duncan of Greenville, Texas, Diane Ramsey of Richardson, Texas; brother, Billy Joe Gray of Corpus Christi, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jimmy was a kind and gentle man, a good husband, father and grandfather. He was loved and will be missed.
A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Friday March 25, 2016 at the Chambersville Cemetery. Family visitation will be Thursday March 24, 2016 from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M. at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel at Leonard.
