Jimmy (Jim) Dean Adams of Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2025, at the age of 89. He was born to Lester Adams and Lola Mae (Pace) Adams. He lived a life full of generosity, dedication, humility, and commitment to his family. Jim valued his career, his education and that of his children and grandchildren, intellectual endeavors, drawing and painting, his leisure time on the lake, boating, family trips, and the outdoors.
Jim married his college sweetheart, Nancy Widmann Adams, in 1957 in Illinois, the same year he graduated from Westminster College. He went on to earn his master’s degree in industrial engineering from Stanford University before embarking on a distinguished 32-year career at Texas Instruments, where his contributions left a lasting impact. His eight-year tenure in Tokyo, Japan, the last four years as President of TI Asia, was a highlight of his successful career.
Jim is survived by his wife, Nancy; daughter Deanna and husband, Van; son Michael and wife, Clara; nephew Phillip and wife, Laura; grandchildren Michelle, Victoria, Shannon, David, Nicolas, and Tomas; as well as their spouses and five great grandchildren.
