Jimmie Dorothy Boyd

December 29, 1927 - January 8, 2021

Jimmie Dorothy Boyd of McKinney, Texas passed away on January 8, 2021 at the age of 93. She was born on December 29, 1927 to Garfield and Doris (Johnson) Risby in McKinney, Texas.  Jimmie grew up in McKinney, Texas and graduated from Doty High School.  She was a member of St. James Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir for many years.

Jimmie is survived by her nieces, Judy Thomas of Dallas, Texas and Doris Thomas from Sachse, Texas; nephews, Barry Thomas of Dallas, Texas and Vernon Risby of California; cousin, Betty Greer of McKinney, Texas; and numerous other loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Boyd and her parents.

Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Wednesday to pay their respects and to sign the register book. 

In support of our local, state, and federal govt including CDC directives and to protect the physical health, safety and well-being of our community, only a limited number of guests will be allowed to attend the Funeral Service.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 14, 2021, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas. After the service, the recorded live stream will be available for viewing at the same link location.
