IN LOVING MEMORY

Jimmie Ruth Middlebrook

Apr 09 1933 - Dec 10 2024

Jimmie Ruth (Sanders) Middlebrook passed away December 10, 2024 at the age of 91.  She was born on April 9, 1933, to Jim Sanders and Clarence (Clark) Sanders in Henderson, Texas.  Jimmie graduated from Henderson High School and was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Henderson Texas. Jimmie met the love of her life, Jack Reed Middlebrook. They celebrated their love and commitment to each other on their wedding day, July 29, 1949, and spent 63 wonderful years together. They made countless joyful memories raising their sons, Jimmy and Johnny.

Jimmie has always demonstrated her love for creating. She had a deep passion for both gardening and art.  To her both were canvases in need of color. Jimmie’s rich inner world made the world around her a more beautiful place. If you look closely, you will find the faces of her three granddaughters on many of her works.

Jimmie is survived by her sons, Jimmy Reed Middlebrook (Loretta), of Plano, Texas, and Johnny Wayne Middlebrook, of Gary, Texas; grandchildren, Katie Gaffigan (Brian), Stacey Altman (Jeff), and Jamie Lesko; great grandchildren, Stella Oncken, Lilly Altman, Bryant Altman, and Hayden Lesko along with a host of extended family members and friends, who will dearly miss her and cherish her memory.

Jimmie was preceded in death by her parents and beloved husband, Jack Reed Middlebrook.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at Strong Cemetery in Henderson, Texas 75652.
