Jesus Martinez Garcia, age 64, passed away April 5, 2025, in Dallas, Texas. He was born on July 6, 1960, in Mexico, to his loving parents Vidal Garcia and Carmen Martinez.
Jesus met the love of his life, Maria Nicerata Rosas, and on October 20, 1978, they celebrated their love and commitment to each other, in Dallas, Texas. He was of the Catholic faith, attending St. Matthew Catholic Church in Arlington, Texas, and St. Michael Catholic Church in Grand Prairie, Texas.
Born in Mexico, Jesus bravely left his homeland in pursuit of opportunity and the chance at the American dream. He embodied the spirit of hard work and dedication, tirelessly providing for his wife and seven children. His greatest joy in life was his family, and he was happiest when his "chaparrita" and children were by his side.
Jesus's most cherished achievements were undoubtedly his children and grandchildren. He poured his love and support into their lives, creating a legacy of family bonds that will endure for generations.
Beyond his devotion to family, Jesus was the life of the party. His infectious laughter and warm spirit filled every room he entered. He had a knack for telling jokes that brought smiles to everyone's faces. Jesus possessed a remarkable ability to connect with others; he never met a stranger and had a gift for finding something good in everyone he encountered.
His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Jesus is survived by his wife, Maria Garcia, of Grand Prairie, Texas; children, Ivan Garcia (Maegan Shafer) of Farmers Branch, Texas, Juan Garcia, of Grand Prairie, Texas, Alejandro Garcia (Jessica), of Nevada, Texas, Laura Garcia Claiborne (Mark), of Plano, Texas, Carmen Kallstrom (Eric), of McKinney, Texas, Jesus Garcia, Jr. (Julia), of Mesquite, Texas, and Adrian Garcia, of Rowlett, Texas; ten grandchildren, Gaby, Sophie, Andy, Jessi, Jack, Natty, Tommy, Eva, Emma, and Luka; six brothers, five sisters; and a host of extended family members and friends, who will miss him dearly and forever cherish his memory.
Jesus was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one sister.
A Funeral Mass will be held at a later date, at St. Michael Catholic Church in McKinney.
The family will receive guests during a visitation from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
