Jessie (Savage) Ellis of Sherman, Texas passed on June 7, 2018 at the age of 92. She was born on March 14, 1926 to George William and Mattie Tackett (Pfaff) Savage in Collinsville, Texas. Jessie married Raymond Archie Ellis on March 1, 1947 in Dallas, Texas. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Jessie is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, Raymond Ellis of Sherman, Texas; son, Ray Ellis and wife, Sharon of Sherman, Texas; cherished nephew, Harold Cranford and wife, Darla of Luella, Texas; granddaughters, Jennifer Quinn and husband, Richard of San Diego, California, Jaysa Tammaro and husband, Mike of Aurora, Illinois, and Jaimee Waller and husband, Chris of Albuquerque, New Mexico; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Jane Cranford of Sadler, Texas and Jo Thomas and husband, Jack of Lawton, Oklahoma; brother, J. W. “Dub” Savage and wife, Elaine of Rapid City, South Dakota; and many other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Will and Mattie Savage; cherished friend, Michael Pasino; one brother; seven sisters; and great-grandbaby, Phoenix Rain Quinn.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m, Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
