Jesse Clair Pardon

Jesse Clair Pardon, 86, of Allen, Texas passed away March 13, 2018 after a courageous battle with Alzheimers Disease.  He was born July 8, 1931, to Jesse Curtis Pardon and Arthea Fern (Hetrick) in Shaw, Kansas.   Jesse served his country proudly in the United States Air Force. He married his first wife Lila Mae Dexter on July 5, 1953 and they were married thirty-nine years before her passing in 1992.  Jesse married his second wife, Carol Engle in 1999 and they were married for sixteen years before her passing. He graduated high school at the age of sixteen. Jesse attended Ottawa Baptist College in Ottawa, Kansas prior to graduating from Finlay College of Engineering in 1958. Jesse enjoyed a successful career as an aerospace engineer despite becoming profoundly deaf at the age of 31. He received one of the first ever cochlear implants.  His hobbies included genealogy, bowling, fishing and camping.

He is survived by his daughter, Pamela Pardon Jones of Allen, Texas; son, Dr. Douglas Jay Pardon of South Ogden, Utah; grandchildren, Judge Daniel Jones and wife Meghann, David Andrew  Jones and wife Sasitron, Susannah Claire Jones and Georgia Louise Pardon; great-granddaughters, Charity, Emma, Madeleine, Genevieve, and Charlotte; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jesse was preceded in death by his wife, Lila Mae Dexter, wife, Carol Engle, infant son, Kelsey Lee Pardon, and brothers, Glenn Pardon and Robert Pardon.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
