IN LOVING MEMORY

Jess Ballesteros

Feb 08 1958 - Jan 22 2025

Jess Ballesteros, 66, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on January 22, 2025. She was born on February 8, 1958 in Tucson, Arizona, to her loving parents Miguel Diaz and Maria Flora Valera.

Jess graduated from Tucson High School and married her husband of 50 years, Robert Ballesteros, on August 13, 1974, in Tucson, Arizona. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who found joy in simple pleasures like sewing, caring for her plants, and cooking for her family, friends and anyone else that happened to stop by.

Jess loved to love people. She had an impact on each person she interacted with and made friends everywhere she went. She was courageous, kind, loving, and had a great sense of humor. Her green thumb led her gardens to flourish.

She challenged herself by sewing anything anyone asked of her, whether it was doll clothes, children's room decor or our last-minute Halloween costumes. Her husband's love brought her joy, as did being a mother to Vanessa and Andrea. But nothing compared to being Nana to her granddaughters.

Jess is survived by her husband, Robert Ballesteros of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Vanessa Hickey and husband, Brian of Dallas, Texas; daughter, Andrea Landgrover and husband, Eric of League City, Texas; granddaughters, Gianna and Layla Landgrover, both of League City, Texas; and siblings, Miguel Angel Diaz, Rogelio Diaz, Guadalupe Norma Diaz, Armando Diaz, Hector Diaz, and Ana Lilia Diaz Molina, all of Tucson, Arizona.

A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. The service will also be live streamed at the following link: https://celebrationoflife.tv/blog/jess-ballesteros.

The family will receive guests during a visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday evening at the funeral home. A rosary will begin at 7:00 p.m.
