Jerry Willis of Whitesboro, Texas (formerly of Princeton, TX) passed away on April 10, 2020 at the age of 76. He was born to Fred Willis and Annie Maurine (Spurgin) Willis on October 2, 1943 in McKinney, Texas. Jerry graduated with the class of 1962 from McKinney High School in McKinney, Texas. In his youth, he enjoyed building engines and auto racing. He married Sherry Phillips on June 6, 1963 in McKinney. Jerry was of the Baptist faith, loved his family, farming and mechanics.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry Willis of Whitesboro, Texas; daughter, Angie Bledsoe and husband, Jamey of Whitesoboro, Texas; grandchildren, Lindy Murphy of Leonard, Texas, Ashley Roland and husband, Trey of Granbury, Texas, Stephanie Crump of Waurika, Oklahoma, Hailey Willis of Dallas, Texas and Josh Shewmake of Whitesboro, Texas; great-grandchildren, Cayden Murphy, JoJo Murphy, Aubrie Shewmake, Aurora Anderson, and Aeris Anderson; step-grandchildren, Ryan Bledsoe, Ross Bledsoe, Reece Bledsoe and Jeannie Kiser and husband, Danny; step-great-grandchildren, Annie Kiser, Phoenix Kiser, and Daniel Kiser; brother, Clyde Willis and wife, Winnie of Ivanhoe, Texas; sister-in-law, Sandra Reins and husband, Erich of McKinney, Texas and many  nieces and nephews.

Jerry was preceded in death by his sons, Jeffery Willis and Gregory Willis and his parents, Fred and Maurine Willis.

Due to the current health mandate, a private graveside service will be held at Ridgeview Memorial Park, Allen, Texas.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
