Jerry Dean Rothrock was born to Charles and Shirley (Patrick) Rothrock in Dallas, Texas on May 22, 1957. He died on February 1, 2019, at 61 years of age, in Celina, Texas due to complications of Alzheimer’s Disease.
Jerry was a 1980 graduate of The University of North Texas and built his career in Sales, working for Hilti, Inc., Quality Cabinets and others.
Jerry married Terri (Low) Rothrock on June 10, 1978, and their children include daughter, Shelly Rothrock Waskom and her husband, Richard Waskom and daughter, Laura Rothrock Perry and her husband, Steven Perry. They have six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Jerry was a member of Legacy Church in Plano, Texas for many years.
Jerry found joy in every situation, every task, and made sure that everyone around him found the same. He was a collector of hearts and friend to everyone he met. He genuinely loved people and was genuinely loved in return by all who knew him. An accomplished gourmet cook, Jerry made meals for family and friends that were memorable, delicious, and liberally seasoned with love. He enjoyed hunting, golf, music, and sports of all kinds, but especially spending time with his family.
Jerry is survived by his parents, Charles and Carolyn Rothrock, Shirley and Sammy Allen and parents-in-law Weldon and Joann Low. His surviving siblings are Michael Rothrock and his wife, Margaret Rothrock and Lea Rothrock and her husband, Kimble Bishop. Jerry also has many beloved nephews, nieces and cousins.
Private family services will be held on Tuesday.
