Jerry Richard Lytle

Jerry Richard Lytle of Plano, Texas passed away on December 2, 2021 at the age of 85. He was born on July 21, 1936 to Chester Lytle and Margaret (Backus) Lytle in Columbus, Ohio. Jerry worked for the Plano Police Department for 10 years and with Lennox for over 25 years. Jerry enjoyed traveling and visited many countries in Europe.  He also traveled to Africa, China and Russia.  He enjoyed attending the Celtic Colors Festival in Nova Scotia, Canada.  Jerry was an avid gardener and enjoyed working with flowers.  He was a very talented artist.  Jerry worked in pencils and watercolors primarily.  He also did several stained-glass pieces.  Jerry was also a very good baker and enjoyed making homemade pies.  He grew to love animals through his wife, Eunice and could be found many times with a cat in his lap or a dog curled up next to him. 

Jerry is survived by his wife, Eunice Lytle of Plano, Texas; daughter, Elizabeth Lytle of Wylie, Texas; sons, Christian Lytle and wife, Tiffany of McKinney, Texas and Ian Lytle and partner Alper Aras of Seattle, Washington; and his grandchildren, Carson Lytle and Caden Lytle.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Margaret Lytle and his sister, Shirley Weeds.
