Mr. Jerry Lee Wells, age 66, of Plano, Texas passed away December 15, 2007, at the Medical Center of Plano. He was born March 18, 1941, in Celina, Texas to Everett Furr and Frances Nealey Wells. On November 20, 1976, he married Vernell Hammer in Mabank, Texas. Mr. Wells served in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Vernell; brother, Darrel L. Howard of Wylie, Texas; sister, LaDonna Ervin of Plano; and mother, Frances Irene Wells of Garland, Texas; four nieces; four nephews and many great nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 18, 2007, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel. The family will receive friends for a remembrance gathering prior to the service.
