Jerry Davis passed away February 14, 2024 at the age of 80 in Plano, Texas. He was born March 10, 1943 in Mundy, Texas to Carl Moore Davis and Anna Lucille Harris.
Former wives of Jerry Davis include Barbara Ann Redden, Anna Beth Norman.
Jerry graduated from Sweetwater, TX High School in 1961 whereafter he joined the US Air Force where he proudly served his country from June 1961 until June 1967 as a cryptographic operator.
Following his honorable discharge, Jerry was successful in several areas of business until later obtaining his real estate license and entering the real estate field working as a sales agent until later purchasing and operating his own real estate franchise in Odessa, Tx.
Jerry eventually entered the appraisal industry as a real estate appraiser working for several appraisal companies as well as owning and operating his own appraisal firm for more than 30 years.
Jerry and his wife Sandra were very active in the First Baptist Church of Plano. He enjoyed spending time with his family, working on computers, serving as a Shriner, volunteering for the Collin County Sheriff’s Department and the Plano Police Department. Jerry was a Mason, a passionate dog lover, sports enthusiast and extremely dedicated to his profession, always performing at the highest level of excellence.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Davis of Plano, Texas; son, Craig Davis and wife, Toni of Marshll, Arkansas; daughter, Heather McGriff of Burleson, Texas; daughter, Rhonda Herres and husband, Tony of McKinney, Texas; son, Coby Norman and wife, Lisa of Farwell, Texas; daughter, Debbie Southerland and husband, Bobby of Velma, Oklahoma; son, Jeff Northern and wife, Laura of Levelland, Texas; 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and sister, Betty Jo Porter of Irving, Texas.
Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Beth Davis and sister, Johnna Terrell.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11:15 a.m. Friday, March 1, 2024 at the DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211. The family received friends from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15th at the Chapel at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, TX 75013.
