Jerry Dan Emrick was born December 20, 1934 in Chillicothe, Texas to Charles Monroe Emrick and Amy Carol Rutledge Emrick. He married DeLois Milligan on December 28, 1957 in Quanah, Texas. He died Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Homestead of Sherman in Sherman, Texas at the age of 82. He was a resident of Tom Bean, Texas.

He was a long time employee of T.I. / Raytheon. He was a member of the Whitewright Masonic Lodge #167. He was loved and will be missed.

He is survived by wife, DeLois Emrick of Tom Bean; daughters, Dana Nixon of Howe, Karen Reeves and husband David of Whitewright; grandchildren, Heather Emrick Beaver, Hillary Nixon, Ryan Emrick, Katie Reeves, and Alyssa Reeves; great-grandchildren, Camden Nixon and Carson Beaver; sister, Maida Whitten. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Joe Emrick; sister, Tama Salmons; brother, Charles Emrick.

Graveside Services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Vittitoe Cemetery, Tom Bean, Texas. Officiating the service will be Rev. Rodney Stanford.

Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Saturday to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Saturday, February 4, 2017 from 1-1:45pm at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Whitewright.
