Jerry L. Cantrell, 76, of Frisco, passed away on October 21, 2018. He was born April 19, 1942, in Blue Ridge, Texas, to Sam and Bobbie (Combest) Cantrell. On September 5, 1964, Jerry married Sue Howell in Farmersville, Texas.
Member of the Frisco Church of Christ, a retired Funeral Director and former owner of Cantrell Funeral Home in Frisco and Celina. A past master and 50 year member of Blue Ridge Masonic Lodge. Fifty year member of all three York Rite bodies. Recipient of Golden Trowel Award and McKinney Chapter O.E.S., a veteran of the Vietnam conflict serving with the HQ USA Army Mortuary Unit in Frankfurt, Germany, 1966-1968.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Sue, of Frisco, Texas; his son, Bryan Cantrell and his wife, Kathleen, of Frisco, Texas; two grandsons, David Cantrell and Sebastian Cantrell, both of Frisco; two brothers, Rick Cantrell and his wife, Correnda of Blue Ridge, Texas, and Joe Cantrell and his wife, Glenna of Blue Ridge; two sisters-in-law, Betty Cantrell of Blue Ridge, and Bettye West and her husband, J.D. of Princeton; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Ronald Gary (Ron) Cantrell (October 30, 2012).
Family and friends are invited to a Visitation at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Frisco on Tuesday, October 23, 2018, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM. A Graveside Service will be held at Blue Ridge Cemetery on Wednesday, October 24, 2018, beginning at 11:00 AM with Dr. Raymond Horne officiating.
