Mr. Jerry Lynn Blacketer, age 62, of Leonard, Texas, passed away May 20, 2007, at his home. He was born June 23, 1944 in Dallas, Texas to Thomas Edwin and Freda Lois (Stevens) Blacketer. On June 12, 1964, he married Loretta Ruff in Leonard, Texas. He was a member of the Church of Christ, and the Kiwanis club. He served as a director in the Federal Land Bank, Farmers Union, and American Bank of Texas. He also served on the board of directors at Northeast Medical Center,and He served on the Leonard ISD school board and director of Co-op Gin. He is survived by his wife; Loretta Blacketer of Trenton, Son; Donnie Lynn and his wife Carmen Lee Blacketer of Blue Ridge, grandchildren; Julie Lewis, Bailey Blacketer, caroline McKee, and Beau Blacketer all of Blue Ridge. He was preceded in death by his father and mother. Memorials may be made to the A.L.S. Association, 27001 Aqoura Rd. suite 150, Calabasas Hill, CA 91301 A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at the First Baptist Church in Leonard, Texas with Charles Wrenn officiating.
