Jerry Benjamin Bates, age 77, born April 21, 1931, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 28, 2008. Jerry is survived by his wife of 31 years, Dorothy (Dottie) Bates; 3 daughters, Gloria Bates of Lancaster, Texas, Vickie Cleveland of Heath, Texas, and Joni Parnell of Little Elm, Texas. Jerry is also survived by 2 sons, Ronnie Bates of Lancaster, Texas and Ray Stovall of Hever Springs, Arkansas. Jerry and his wife resided in Dover, Arkansas, and in addition to his sons, daughters and their spouses, Jerry had 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends that will miss him very much. A Funeral Service will be held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Frisco, Texas on Wednesday, June 2, 2008 at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Little Elm Cemetery in Little Elm, Texas. Family and friends are invited to the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Frisco for a visitation Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at 12:30 PM, prior to service.
