Jerid James Putman, age 21, of McKinney, Texas passed away December 3, 2011. He was born July 30, 1990 in Lewisville, Texas. Jerid was a 2008 graduate of Melissa High School. He was a member of their State Championship football team and was also named “Linebacker of the Year.” He is survived by his mother, Traci Contreras and her husband, Felix of McKinney, Texas; brother, Jacoby Putman and fiancé, Lauren of McKinney, Texas; aunt, Bobbie Borys and husband, Jack of Tampa, Florida; sisters, Autumn Cotten and husband, Chris of San Marcos, Texas, Leslie Patton of Greenville, Texas; uncle, John Quick and wife, Stephanie of Greenville, Texas; grandparents, Alice and Ron Corbett of Quinlan, Texas and a host of other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, James “Papa” Quick; beloved friend, Mark Simpson; friend, Matthew Self and Jerid’s favorite dog, “Pudge”. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 7, 2011, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Pastor Wayne Heathcock officiating.
