Jennifer Suzanne (Schaff) Johnson, of Allen, Texas, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025, at the age of 58. She was born on October 12, 1966, in Kansas City, Kansas, to Michael Schaff and Jacquelyn Kaye (Bryson) Schaff.
Jennifer was a proud graduate of Shawnee Mission West High School and went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Kansas State University. Her passion for design and creativity led her to work with several architectural firms before founding her own successful business, Jennifer Johnson Design, which she operated for many years allowing her to work and stay home for her other passion, taking care of her family.
On May 1, 1993, Jennifer married David Johnson, in Dallas, Texas. Together, they built a life full of love, laughter, and shared adventures. A devoted member of First Baptist Church Allen since 1994, Jennifer poured her heart into service, teaching numerous classes over the years, working in Vacation Bible School each summer, serving in the Food Pantry, serving on building committees, and building strong connections within her church community.
She was a lover of the outdoors, finding joy in camping, hiking, traveling, and exploring new places. She enjoyed playing cards and other games and was quite competitive. Jennifer’s warmth, creativity, kindness, and generosity was displayed by how she helped many friends. Her servant heart was displayed by helping with wedding and baby showers, wedding planning and assistance and space planning or finishes in others’ homes. She was known for stepping in to help in any way needed. Jennifer touched the lives of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
Jennifer is survived by her loving husband, David Johnson of Allen, Texas; their daughters, Heather Johnson of Dallas, Texas, Ashley (Johnson) Pumphrey and her husband Brandon of Farmers Branch, Texas; her mother, Jacquelyn Kaye Schaff of Overland Park, Kansas; her sister, Allyson Giddens and her husband Greg of Frisco, Texas; her niece, Avery Giddens of Frisco, Texas, and her nephew, Zachary Giddens, also of Frisco, Texas. She also leaves behind many cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Schaff.
A remembrance gathering will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 25, 2025, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. A memorial service to celebrate Jennifer’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 26, 2025, at First Baptist Church Allen, 201 E McDermott Dr, Allen, Texas 75002.
