Jeffrey "Jeff" Lynn Waldrop, 64, of McKinney, Texas, peacefully departed this world on September 7, 2024. Born on December 1, 1959, in Fort Benning, Georgia, to John and Lynn (Loftin) Waldrop, his journey through life was marked by kindness, love, and a deep sense of community.
On January 2, 1982, Jeff married the love of his life, Deborah “Debi” Stephens, in Ashland, Kentucky. Their bond was one of true devotion, and together they crafted a life overflowing with love, laughter, music, and late nights dancing in their kitchen with family and friends who became family.
Upon settling in Texas, Jeff and Debi opened not only their home but their hearts, establishing cherished traditions. Their home became a haven, especially on Christmas Eve, where they graciously welcomed anyone seeking comfort and companionship on that sacred night.
In recent years, Jeff’s love and loyalty were most evident in his care for Debi following her life-altering medical event. Together, they faced the challenge with the same grace and generosity that defined their lives. They formed a new community, hosting weekly support groups to guide others navigating unexpected paths. Through their openness, they became pillars of strength and compassion, offering advice, solace, and friendship.
Professionally, Jeff was a dedicated project manager at Lone Star Analysis in Addison, Texas, but his true vocation was always to those he loved. His unwavering commitment to both his work and the people he held dear left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him.
Jeffrey was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He is remembered for his warmth, kindness, and the genuine care he extended to everyone around him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his loving family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Waldrop of McKinney, Texas; son, Stephen Waldrop, also of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Ellen Waldrop of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Lynnlee Waldrop of Blue Ridge, Texas, Loftin Waldrop, also of Blue Ridge, Texas; and Winnifred Norman of Austin, Texas; father, John Waldrop of Campbellsville, Kentucky; sister, Diane Burrow of Brentwood, Tennessee, brother, David Waldrop of Georgetown, Kentucky, and a host of other loving family members and cherished friends
