Jeffrey Hugh Taggart, 72, of Frisco died at Medical City Frisco on Thursday, March 26,2026. Jeff was born on December 2, 1953 in Belton to Hugh and Jonnell (Whitley) Taggart. Jeff attended Belton schools and was involved in both sports and band. He graduated from Belton High School in 1972. He would later go on to start his degree at Tarleton State University and complete it at Howard Payne University in 1993. Over the years Jeff worked for the Santa Fe Railroad, Texas Youth Commission, The Royal Brush and Circle K.
Jeff was a devoted and loving father to Craig Allen, Trisha Allison and Jeffrey Hugh Taggart Jr who will dearly miss him and his love and support. Jeff always said his life was most full once becoming a Papa to Ally, Sydney and Hugh.
Jeff never met a stranger no matter where he would go. A fresh Dad joke was quick to roll off his tongue at any moment. He was one of the most selfless beings always doing something for others. He truly loved life and to see those he cared about happy.
One of his favorite quotes was the reminder that the windshield is always bigger than the rear-view mirror.
Jeff was preceded in death by both of his parents and his sister Tenny Swonke and is survived by son Craig Taggart of Norfolk, VA, daughter Trisha Taggart and her husband James Pennington of Temple, TX, son Jeffrey Taggart and his wife Kathryn of Frisco, TX, granddaughters Ally Lee and her husband Chris, and Sydney King both of Florence, AL, grandson Jeffrey Hugh Taggart III of Frisco, TX, brothers John Taggart and Jay Taggart and his wife Leah, sister Terry Taggart and many loved cousins, nieces and nephews.
A private family gathering has already been had in honor of his memory.
