Jeffrey Clarence Lynn of Plano, Texas passed away on April 21, 2026, at the age of 75. Born in San Jose, California, on August 1, 1950, to Norma and Robert Lynn, Jeff lived a full and vibrant life marked by generosity, endless conversation, and a deep love for family, friends, and community. A man of Catholic faith, he carried his beliefs with quiet strength throughout his life.
As a young child, Jeff lived in Southern California before moving to Deerfield, Illinois. His family later settled in Dallas, Texas, where he attended Jesuit College Preparatory School and graduated from W.T. White High School. He went on to earn a BBA from Stephen F. Austin State University, where he was a cheerleader alongside his future wife, Jackie Cooper, and was a proud member of Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity.
After college, Jeff and Jackie were married. Together they raised three children, Derek (49), Peyton (45) and Patrick (43) first in Houston and later in Plano where they graduated from Highschool.
A natural conversationalist who could connect with anyone, Jeff built a successful career in the flooring industry. He spent over 20 years in the business and eventually took over his father’s carpet company when he retired. Known as a great salesman, he was perhaps an even greater “mark” for a salesman. He was extremely generous with his possessions and always willing to help others in need. Though he had no filter and spoke his mind freely, his kindness and big heart endeared him to everyone who knew him.
Beyond his professional life, Jeff poured his passion into his children and community. He coached his children in baseball and football, and together with two friends, he built what became the largest Little League association in the country from the ground up. He built a thriving business with his best friend that propelled him to retirement, while having the joy of working alongside his two sons.
Jeff cherished summers at his home in Lake Tahoe with his beloved dog, Jett. A lifelong dog lover, he always had a canine companion by his side. He was an avid fan of drag racing, loved Texas Rangers baseball, and was a lifelong Cowboys fan. His enthusiasm for conversation, sense of humor, and generosity left a lasting impression on all who crossed his path.
He is survived by his eldest son Derek Lynn and wife Gina Lynn, and their children Addison, Parker, and Lucas; his daughter Peyton Vooletich and husband Dan Vooletich, and their daughter Landry; and his youngest son Patrick Lynn and wife Michelle Lynn, and their children Preston, Hudson, and Madison. He is also survived by his brothers Kevin, Craig, and John Lynn, and his sister Janice English.
