Jeanne Marie Rae, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2025, at the age of 78, in Allen, Texas. Jeanne was born on December 13, 1946, in Marengo, Iowa, to her loving parents, Kenneth Edward Feckley and Virginia (Faas) Feckley.

Jeanne spent her formative years in Cedar Rapids, graduating from Jefferson High School in 1964. On April 29, 1967, she married the love of her life, Donald Arthur Rae, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, beginning a beautiful partnership that spanned six decades. Jeanne pursued higher education at Marshalltown Community College, where she earned her associate’s degree.

Jeanne had a remarkable career as an administrative assistant, excelling in various capacities, and concluded her professional journey in investor relations at JCPenney. Beyond her career, Jeanne’s life was enriched by her many passions. She loved crocheting, gardening, and reading and had an enduring love for animals. Above all, she cherished spending time with her family, particularly her grandchildren, who brought her immense joy.

A devoted member of the First United Methodist Church of Allen, Jeanne found comfort and connection in her everlasting faith.

Jeanne Rae is survived by her beloved husband Donald Rae of Allen, Texas; children, Jason Rae and wife, Laura of Parker, Texas, Travis Rae and wife Stacy of Frisco, Texas, Sara Morgan and husband James of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Garrett Rae, Grant Rae, Davis Rae, Hayden Rae, Brady Rae, Avery Morgan, and Miles Morgan; sisters, Kathy Vogt and husband, Wayne of Rochester, Minnesota, and Barb Wagner and husband Rich of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other numerous loving family and friends.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents and brother Ed Feckley.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 31, 2025 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family requests memorial contributions be made in Jeanne’s honor to the Alzheimer’s Association.
