IN LOVING MEMORY

Jeanette Louise Reid Wilmeth

May 20 1939 - Dec 24 2020

Jeanette Louise Reid Wilmeth, 81, of McKinney Texas, passed away on December 24, 2020 in Heber Springs, Arkansas.  She was born on May 20, 1939 to Arthur Charles and Velma Edith (Walker) Reid in Fort Worth, Texas.  Jeanette married James Nathan Wilmeth on June 1,1957 also in Fort Worth.

While living in McKinney since the mid 1970’s Jeanette worked for Collin County Commissioners Court, First Baptist Church, and then retired from ACS Technologies.

A special gift Jeanette was known for by family and close friends was knitting Christmas Stockings with names. It’s estimated she made over 200 stockings over the many years to give away, and worked hard every year to keep up with any marriages or babies added to those families.

Jeanette is survived by her daughters, Teresa Moncier and husband, Terry of Bonham, Texas, Melissa Bird and husband, Alan of McKinney, Texas, Dee Blackwell and husband, Allen of Rose Bud, Arkansas; 11 grandchildren and spouses; 23 great-grandchildren in Texas, Arkansas, Georgia, Virginia, and Maryland; and numerous nieces and nephews with extended family in the Houston and Dallas area.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim, in 2011, after 53 years of marriage; parents and her sister, Martha Reid Davenport.

Jeanette was diligently cared for by family since her husband Jim passed away 10 years ago, but as her health declined, she moved and lived with her daughter Dee in Arkansas (a nurse), then lived the last 6 months at SouthRidge Village Nursing and Rehab in Heber Springs Arkansas.
