Jeanene Rachel Lester of Celina, Texas, went to be with the Lord on April 8th, 2025 at the age of 62 after battling a long illness.
Jeanene was born in Denton, Texas to Paul and Sandra Stellrecht on February 19, 1963. She met her husband, Clifford Lester at Hardin-Simmons University as a sophomore and spent nearly 40 years in a loving marriage.
Jeanene is survived by her husband Clifford McGhee Lester, Jr. of Celina, Texas. Her mother Sandra Jean Stellrecht of North Richland Hills, Texas. Her children Stephen Clifford Lester and wife Tessa of Haslet, Texas and Rachel Louise Wilson and husband Trevor of Larkspur, Colorado. She is survived by her grandchildren Cade Judah Lester, Levi Graham Lester, and Ford James Lester of Haslet, Texas. She is also survived by her sister Jill Tomme Stellrecht and niece Rebecca Jeanene Riley, husband, Scott, and their daughter Madelyn Sue Riley.
She was preceded in death by her father Paul Stephen Stellrecht.
Jeanene was a devoted member of Bethel Baptist Church for nearly 27 years. She enjoyed singing in the choir, leading at Bible Study Fellowship, and mentoring to many in her community. She worked for many years at Celina ISD and was the recipient of many awards during her years of service.
She will be remembered as a compassionate, loyal, and selfless mom, daughter, grandma, wife, and friend. She was a wonderful “Nene” to her grandkids and enjoyed taking them to new places, loved listening to their stories, and relished in watching them grow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jack’s Basket, an organization celebrating babies born with Down Syndrome, and Neuroendocrine Cancer Foundation in memory of Jeanene.
