IN LOVING MEMORY

Jean W. Lovelady

Mar 04 1958 - Feb 16 2022

Jean W. Lovelady of Princeton, Texas, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2022, at the age of 63. She was surrounded by family and friends. She was born on March 4, 1958, to Bill & Virginia Whybrew in Frankfort, Indiana. Jean married Bob Lovelady on November 24, 1977, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She worked for many years with the Princeton Independent School District and considered those she worked with as an extension of her family. Jean was a devoted member of Sent Church in Plano, Texas. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her love for Jesus shone brightly in everything she did. She shared her love for Jesus through prayer, notes, and songs, often encouraging people to “sing with me.”

Jean is survived by her beloved husband of 44 years, Bob Lovelady of Princeton, Texas; son, James Lovelady and wife, Erica of Van Alstyne, Texas; daughter, Heidi Estep and husband, Chris of Princeton, Texas; grandchildren Camdyn Lovelady, Brylee Lovelady, Paxton Lovelady, Hank Estep, and Laurel Jean Estep; sisters, Joan Selfridge and husband, Dennis of Mitchell, South Dakota, and Judy Chitwood and husband, Greg of San Angelo, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like to honor Jean through the following opportunities:

Operation Christmas Child–Jean loved OCC. Each year she loved going to the store with her grandchildren to pick out items for boxes and packing them together. She loved packing OCC boxes with Sent Church. Bob, Jean, and Camdyn would sign up to help pack boxes at the area distribution center each year. In retirement, Jean was planning to work or volunteer at the OCC distribution center. Each OCC box is another opportunity to reach one more child with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. You can honor Jean and her love for OCC here: https://sampur.se/3JBmp0F

Beyond–There are more than 2 billion people alive today who have never heard the Good News of Jesus Christ. These people are grouped into over 7,000 unreached people groups. 2,877 of these groups live in South Asia. Brittney Powell has been a dear friend of the Lovelady family for over 30 years. She currently serves with Beyond which is an organization that sends missionaries to serve these unreached people groups. Brittney and Heidi are best friends, and the two families have had many adventures and memories together through the years. You can honor Jean and her love for the gospel by supporting Brittney here: http://www.beyond.org/donate/bkp
