Jean Marie Szymaniak of McKinney, Texas passed away March 12, 2021 at the age of 87. She was born on August 21, 1933 to Everett Garner Flowers, Sr. and Oma (Best) Flowers in Tennessee. Jean married the late Don Szymaniak on February 22, 1953 in Hernando, Mississippi and they enjoyed 60 years of marriage before his passing in 2013. She was a member of Christ Fellowship in McKinney.
Jean is survived by her daughter, Lisa Busch and husband, Rob of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Ryan Szymaniak and Taylor Szymaniak, both of McKinney, Texas; daughter-in-law, Robin Szymaniak of McKinney, Texas; sisters, Sharon Rogers and husband, Don and Jessica Perry; brothers, Virgil Flowers and wife, Denise, Benny Flowers and wife, Sandy, Danny Flowers and wife, Ruby, and Keith Flowers and wife, Kathy; and a host of other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her, husband, Don Szymaniak; son, Michael Szymaniak; parents, Everett and Oma Flowers; other mother, Frances Flowers; sisters, Mary Maxine Burk, Faye Mulhern, Kay Delgado, and June Keen; and brothers, Everett Flowers, Jr. and Lemuel Flowers.
In support of our local, state, and federal govt including CDC directives and to protect the physical health, safety and well-being of our community, only a limited number of guests will be allowed to attend the funeral service.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 15, 2021 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas. After the service, the recorded live steam will be available for viewing at the same link location.
Should the maximum number of guests be reached, those who would like to honor Jean and show their support to her family may remain at the funeral home in your vehicle, where you can watch the live streamed service on your personal device (laptop, tablet or smartphone) or listen through a designated FM radio channel.
The family will receive guests one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Only a limited number of guests will be allowed to enter the funeral home facility at any one time to maintain social distancing.
