Mrs. Jean Clayton, age 68, of McKinney, Texas passed away April 26, 2004, in McKinney. She was born November 25, 1935, in McKinney to Wilbur O. and Effie Pearl (Avery) Johnson. On August 20, 1973, she married Willie D. Clayton, Sr. in McKinney. Mrs. Clayton was a nurses aide and a member of the St. James CME Church in McKinney. She is survived by her husband, Willie D. Clayton, Sr. of McKinney; son, Will Clayton Jr. of Allen, Texas; daughters, Charlotte Patrick Yost of Harvey, Louisiana, Cynthia A. Allen of McKinney, Gay Clayton-Griffin of Garland, Texas and Mary Clayton of Plano, Texas; 4 granddaughters, Chari N. Clayton, Torii J. Allen, Jazzlyn Derouse and Rylee C. Clayton; 5 grandsons, Clarence L. Harris, Jr., Cameron M. Harris, Clinton C. Harris, Jon A. Moore and Joshua L. Allen; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Johnson of Greenville, Texas; sister, Lena Pearl Perry of Dallas, Texas; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 29, 2004, at St. James CME Church in McKinney with Rev. Winston Douglas officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 p.m., Wednesday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
