IN LOVING MEMORY

Jason Scott Seagraves

Aug 23 1982 - Oct 19 2021

Jason Scott Seagraves of McKinney, Texas passed away on October 19, 2021 at the age of 39. He was born on August 23, 1982 to Joseph Lee and Valerie Carol (Skjolsvik) Seagraves in Fort Worth, Texas.  Jason started his journey in life in Texas then spent time in Austin, Tampa and Cincinnati before coming back to Keller, Texas where he graduated from Keller High School.  He attended college at Tarrant County College and the University of Texas at Arlington where he studied architecture.  Jason also worked as an estimator in the flooring business in the Dallas Fort Worth area.

He volunteered for three summers working in Zion National Park in Utah where he explored and had the time of his life.  He loved anything outdoors and being in nature.  The mountains called to him, and he would jump in his car and road trip to enjoy beautiful views, hiking, camping and a good meal with his brother and fiancé at every chance.

Jason was an avid reader, loved baseball and had an intense passion for music.  To spend time with Jason meant you would hear some of the best music.  After spending five minutes with you, he could put on a playlist that spoke to your soul.

Jason was an artist at heart, loving to sketch, draw, paint and find beauty in all things.  His artistic ability extended into his passion for gardening, the culinary arts and firing up the smoker.  He loved to cook for friends and family and put a smile on their face.  His joy was contagious, and he made you love what he loved.

He is survived by his parents, Joseph and Valerie Seagraves of Keller, Texas; brother, Christopher Seagraves of Keller, Texas; fiancé, Rebecca Russell of McKinney, Texas; and a host of loving family and friends.

Jason will be missed and remembered every time those who love him hear a good song, see a full moon, spend time in nature or enjoy a good meal.

A memorial service will be held from 5:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m., Sunday, October 24, 2021 at The Nature and Retreat Center at Oak Point Park, 5901 Los Rios Boulevard in Plano, Texas.
