Jason Mikel Kent-Gudino

Jason Mikel Kent-Gudino of Plano, Texas passed away on March 23, 2021 at the age of 39. He was born on April 5, 1981 to Augustine Thomas Gudino and Regina Marie Kent in Fresno, California. 

While he was in school Jason enjoyed sports. He was an outstanding athlete and an award-winning cross-country runner.  At school he found joy in art and continued painting throughout his life. As a young person in Fresno, Jason discovered martial arts, and he achieved a second-degree black belt. Jason greatly enjoyed his work as a martial arts instructor.

In the nineties Jason followed his mother and brothers to Texas, he continued martial arts and painting.  Jason enjoyed games, media and movies. He was happy to beat you at chess. Jason and his brother, Jarrod kept up with the latest Star Wars and Superhero Movies. When Jason came Texas, he was a loyal Raiders fan and he did not change. While his brothers became G.M. guys, Jason was a Dodge man he called his charger the “Black Beauty “.

Jason liked to read his Bible and he loved God. He took strength from his faith and we know he has found peace in God’s Love.

He is survived by his mother, Regina Kent-Connors of Fairview, Texas; father, Augustine Thomas Gudino of Oregon; siblings, Kyle Connors, Kirk Connors, Jarrod Connors, Augustine J. Gudino, Ariana Ponder, Anneleise Gudino, Cassie Gudino; grandparents, Roger Kent and Jeanette and Augustine and Linda Gudino; and numerous other loving family and friends.

Jason was preceded in death by his aunt, Cindy Kent.

A “come and go” visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 30, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. Only a limited number of guests will be allowed to enter the funeral home facility at any one time to maintain social distancing. 

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas. After the service there will be a Reception and Celebration of Life at Gina's House, 541 Cottonwood Place , Fairview Tx. 75069
