Jason Clyde Gilmore, age 38, was born on February 18, 1984 in McKinney, Texas. The only son of the late David A. Gilmore and Rita Clemons Gilmore. He was introduced to Christ at an early age by the Late Rev. Charles E. Hill. He was a member of St. James C.M.E church until his death. Jason received his formal education in the Allen Independent School District. He was active in sports, and graduated from Allen High School, May 2002. He accomplished his lifelong dream to attend and graduate from the Le Cordon de Bleu College on October 26, 2013. Afterwards, he entered the food industry and went on to join one of the top restaurants in downtown McKinney – Local Yocal. Jason was excited to go to work daily. He loved his mother, daughters, extended family and having fun with his friends. No matter what he was doing or where he was going, Jason made sure his mother and daughters were always taken care of.
Jason left his footprints on earth to be cherished by his daughters, Jaila Gilmore and Alana Evans; mother, Rita Clemons Gilmore; sister, Angelique Griffin, niece, nephew, and a host of uncles, aunts, family, friends, and the McKinney, Lubbock, and Cleveland communities.
Jason was preceded in death by his father, David Alonzo Gilmore; maternal grandparents, Clyde and Rosa Clemons, Paternal grandparents: James and Priscilla Gilmore; uncles, Clyde D. Clemons, Donald Gilmore, Ronald Gilmore; great uncles Jimmie L. Johnson, Charles W. Johnson, Billy Payne, and Danny Williams and Great Aunt: Francis A. Dorsey.
A funeral service will be held at 12 noon, Monday, July 11, 2022 at at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. The service will also be live streamed at TJMfuneral.com on Jason’s obituary page by clicking on the following link: https://celebrationoflife.tv/blog/jason-clyde-gilmore. After the service, the recorded live stream will be available for viewing at the same link location. Following the service, a procession will make its way to Ridgeview Memorial Park for a committal service.
The family will receive family and friends during a visitation on Sunday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
