Jason Darnell Dawkins “JD” went to be with our heavenly father the morning of November 27, 2023. He was surrounded by so much love from his wife, daughters, mom, and sister.
Jason was born to Pete Dawkins, Jr., and Connie Jean Jones on February 15, 1977, in El Paso, Texas. From the time he was born he had an infectious smile that would light up an entire room. He would go on to graduate from Andress High School where his love for the game of basketball grew and he was the creator of the Kool Wall.
If you knew JD, you knew he loved the Los Angeles Lakers and the Dallas Cowboys and could debate with the best of you about their greatness. He loved music, playing cards, and dominoes. No one wanted to play against him because odds are he was going to win.
However, what he loved most was his family and spending time with them. He, Jennifer, Aleena, and Amaya did everything together. He was the epitome of a phenomenal husband and father. He was the ultimate #GIRLDAD. He loved to support them. Spending hours on the hardwood and the soccer field with his girls. Little did he know he didn’t only impact his daughters, but he positively impacted every player he coached or that played on the girls’ teams. He coached Aleena in basketball and Amaya in soccer but most importantly he coached them in life (as he did the majority of us). He was the perfect example of how to be a son, brother, husband, father, uncle, cousin, coach, and friend. His legacy will live on forever in our hearts.
#HEART&HUSTLE #TEAMDAWKINS #ELITECLEATS FOR LIFE!
