Jarrod Roger Connors was born in Fresno, California on November 26th, 1993. He was the youngest son to Regina and Gerry Connors. He had three older brothers, Jason Kent-Gudino, Kyle Connors, and Kirk Connors. The family moved to Plano, Texas in 1994, and eventually made Fairview their home in 1997.
Jarrod is preceded in death by his eldest brother, Jason Kent-Gudino, in 2021, and his Aunt Cindy Kent, in 2010. He shared a special bond with both of them.
Jarrod attended Lovejoy schools through his academic tenure, graduating from Lovejoy Highschool in 2012. For his senior project Jarrod created a charity called Cindy's Shoes, in honor of his late Aunt Cindy, where he collected funds for children in need.
In childhood, Jarrod was active in the Boy Scouts of America, where he made a lifelong friendship and spent quality time with his mother, Regina who acted as their den leader.
Jarrod had a great love for movies, gaming, and technology. He was proficient with computers, audio/video equipment, and had a vast knowledge of all things Marvel, Star Wars, and gaming across all platforms. He not only enjoyed playing games, but he was also astute at repairing and working on the systems and components, as well. Jarrod found great joy in researching the latest of technology and introducing his family to how it could make their life easier.
He and his late brother, Jason, frequented movies often and in addition to his vast media collection at home, there weren't many movies that Jarrod hadn't seen. He loved to talk about and quote his favorites. Jarrod knew all the roles, writers, and creators from memory, and became quite the movie critic in his adult life.
In his early teens, Jarrod was diagnosed with a seizure disorder that he managed the remainder of his life, though he never let it affect his positive spirit. He was generous to all he knew, amiable, funny, considerate, and thoughtful to the people around him. He was a great son, brother, and friend. Jarrod loved trying new restaurants with his family - burger and sandwiches being his favorite, always ordered with a cold Dr. Pepper.
Jarrod also loved caring for the family dogs, Zoey and Austin. He kept up with their health and feeding schedules to ensure they had the best quality of life.
Jarrod is survived by his grandmother and grandfather, Roger and Jeanette Kent; his father, Gerry Connors; his brothers, Kirk Connors and Kyle Connors, along with Kyle's wife, Brandi Connors. Jarrod is also survived by his devoted mother, Regina Kent Connors, of whom he took great care of, along with her partner, Peter Fitzsimmons. He will be greatly missed by them, their respective children, their grandchildren, and all those who loved him dearly.
