From 1972 until 2021 she lived in Avery, Texas. There she taught fourth grade and later was a school Counselor in the Detroit, Texas ISD before returning to Avery as Counselor. She loved Jesus and lived her life, accordingly, instilling the same in her family. She enjoyed gardening, was a big baker, appreciated a nice car, was an avid collector of antique glassware. She enjoyed an occasional trip to Vegas, loved a good garage sale, and enjoyed the scampering play of the feral cats she fed daily on her porch. But more than anything, for her whole life, she passionately loved, supported, encouraged, and prayed for her family.
