Janie Lucado of Little Elm, Texas passed away on November 5, 2020 in Plano, Texas at the age of 78. She was born on June 9, 1942 to Ruth (McClain) and John Barton Pollard in Van, Texas. On June 26, 1993, Janie married Daniel James Lucado in Frisco, Texas. She was an Office Manager in the medical field and a member at Grace Avenue United Methodist Church in Frisco.
Janie is survived by husband, Coach Dan Lucado; five children, David Fain and his wife, Amy, Toni Kelley and her husband, Mark, Kim Salehi and her husband, Matt, Melissa Fain and Stephanie Craddock and her husband, Terry; thirteen grandchildren, Mallory, Cheyann, William, Rhonda, Adina, Cameron, Arya, Luke, Sydney, Mitchell, John, Hunter, and Alex; eleven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Janie was preceded in death by her brother, Roy Pollard; two sisters, Betty Holcomb and Esther Trowbridge; and her parents, Ruth and John Pollard.
Family and friends are invited to a “come and go” Visitation on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at the Berkshire Chapel 9073 Berkshire Drive, Frisco, Texas 75033 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at Grace Avenue United Methodist Church 3521 Main Street, Frisco, Texas 75034, on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at 2:30 PM with Rev. Billy Echols-Richter and Rev. Laura Echols-Richter officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview West Memorial Park, 7800 Sanctuary Drive, Frisco, Texas 75033.
