IN LOVING MEMORY

Janice K. Diamond

May 21 1948 - Apr 11 2019

Janice Diamond of Prosper, Texas passed away on April 11, 2019. She was born in Seminole, Oklahoma to the late Eugene Keefer and his wife, Evelyn.   She grew up in nearby Ada, Oklahoma.  While attending East Central University in Ada, Janice was a charter member of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority and she met the love of her life, Bob Diamond.  She and Bob were married on September 8, 1967. They graduated from East Central two years later, after which Bob joined the Air Force.  During his training Janice completed her Master’s Degree in Education.  They had two sons born on military bases, traveled across the country and overseas before leaving military service.  They then moved to Norman, Oklahoma where Janice taught school and Bob attended the University of Oklahoma to earn his graduate degree.  They moved to Dallas in 1976, where Janice taught school and Bob worked for several technology companies. Within a few years they established businesses of their own, a school supply company under Janice’s leadership, and an industrial computer automation company under Bob’s. The success and eventual sale of those companies provided the opportunity to retire at an early age, and travel the world together. Janice continued to enjoy traveling with her husband, family and friends for the remainder of her life.

Over the years, Janice volunteered at and supported numerous activities in her neighborhood, church, and community.  She always put others first, especially her family, friends, and those with special needs.

Janice is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Bob Diamond; her mother, Evelyn Keefer; son, Travis Diamond and wife, Holly, grandchildren, Jackson, Carson, and Isabella of Fairview, Texas; son, Chad Diamond and wife, Leigh Ann, grandchildren, Jeffrey, Meg, and Drew of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; brother, Paul Keefer and wife, Cindy, of Ada, Oklahoma; along with a host of other loving relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Monday, April 29, 2019 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas.  The family will receive friends during a reception immediately following the service from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
