Janet Leah Hadeler died February 25, 2024 in Frisco, Texas. She was 84. Janet was born January 18, 1940 in Mason, Texas to Elroy Dewey Schreiber and Lois Nixon. She married the love of her life Robert B. Hadeler November 12, 1960 in Mason, Texas.
She was an active member of Resurrection Lutheran Church in Plano, Texas and sang in the church choir. Janet graduated from North Texas State University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Computer Information Systems in 1983; and worked 20 years as a systems analyst at JCPenney before retiring in 2002. Janet loved singing in the church choir and playing cards with her friends – bridge, hand & foot and mahjong were her favorites.
She is survived by a son, Steve Hadeler of Frisco, Texas; daughters. Meredith Barnes of Austin, Texas and Jennifer Hadeler of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Vanessa Burrows of Pflugerville, TX, Athena Keesee of Pflugerville, TX, and Logan Barnes also of Pflugerville, and Brett Havens of Plano, Texas; great-grandchildren, Jeremy Sorensen, Emily Burrows, Daria Keesee, Rocky Keesee and Minerva Keesee, all of Pflugerville; a sister, Suzann Chew and husband Ron of Kerrville, Texas; several nieces and nephews and a host of other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister, Paula Hill.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Sunday, March 3 ,2024 at Resurrection Lutheran Church 1919 Independence Parkway, Plano, Texas 75075. The family invites friends to a visitation from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
