Janet Fisher, age 78, of Plano, Texas passed away on July 5, 2007. She was born on February 2, 1929 in Red Oak, Iowa to Paul and Beulah Michel. She graduated from Red Oak High School and received her degree from Drake University. On June 24, 1951 she married Leland Fisher. Janet taught school for many years, finishing up at St. Alban’s Episcopal Day School in Harlingen, Texas. She was also a member at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church. Janet is survived by her daughter, Lee Nagel and husband Steve of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Sara and Andrew Nagel of Plano, Texas; sister, Shirley Hyde of Bedford, Texas; brother, Raymond Michel and his wife, Shirley of Des Moines, Iowa and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband, Leland Fisher. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2007 at 10:00 AM at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home with Father David Reed officiating. The family will receive friends during a visitation for one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lance Armstrong Foundation.
